Sr. Streamweaver Specialist

SUMMARY:We have an immediate opportunity for a Senior Streamweaver Specialist with extensive experience in print stream manipulation and transformation techniques.The purpose of this position is to provide technical leadership and programming on the Rapid Solutions Group application systems. The position will have high level of responsibility, room for growth, interaction with other areas including Development, QA and Production, cutting edge technology, in an exciting, challenging and growing environment.ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: include the following. Other duties may be assigned.•Participate in the requirements gathering process for new projects
oExamine sample client print streams to assess viability of print stream manipulation activities.oDevelop next steps based on the outcome including identification of gaps, documentation, identification of key technology challenges
•Determine the application architecture/solution design based on the client need
oReview the requirements and develop a solutions proposal which includes application architecture, key risk areas and technical direction for prototype applicationsoBuild the documentation to describe the application solutionoCollaborate with Project Management and the internal project team to ensure alignment with the project plan
•Build custom applications based on solution proposal
oWork individually or as part of a team to develop applications, assuming a lead positionoBuild and test prototype applications when applicableoProgram the solutions to meet client specificationoWork with the project team to ensure proper output print streams and job metrics have been generated by the proposed solutionoManage the print stream manipulation/transformation portion of the implementation of the client application solutionoProvide a point of escalation for technical (print stream) issues during build/fix stage
•Produce and maintain documentation including knowledge transfer components oDocument all aspects of the solution through standard documentation (including inline code comments)oAssist with code reviews when required

SKILLS REQUIRED:Streamweaver experience in the following print streams:
•PostScript (required)
•AFPDS (required)
•Metacode (desirable)
Additional Print stream Tools experience (desirable):
•Solimar
•Adobe Acrobat, Distiller
Windows Development Experience (desirable):
•Visual Studio .NET

•MS SQL Server

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
3+ years development experience with Streamweaver
2+ years experience with PostScript
1+ years experience with AFPDS
Visual Studio Development Experience a plus
