Sr Staff - Technology Services

Responsibilities:Implement and maintain Unix servers, Windows workstations and
infrastructure that support On-line and Retail Trading Server and
Client Applications. Applicant will occasionally share “call
center- dispatch” responsibilities with group, which includes
troubleshooting problems and fulfilling service requests relating to
the day to day server/application/lab operations and developer
requests. This also includes the maintenance of 1,500 plus
servers/workstations in several local and remote labs for a
development/build environment via new and existing documentation and
diagrams. All in all, share technical knowledge and work with peers,
provide suggestions on improvement of processes, document procedures,
and interact with development staff and project managers.
General
Requirements:Five or more years experience with system administration of LiNUX
(with a good Solaris background), Windows operating systems, Intel
server and workstation hardware, lab operations, and TCP/IP routed
networks. Installation, integration and management of applications
are also essential in a Web based server and client environment.
Overall, the ideal candidate will be experienced in customer
relationship management in a structured IT environment, including the
support of the development and build communities as well as ability
to work with vendors and developers directly to quickly and
thoroughly resolve technical problems. This would also include to
work independently, manage multiple assignments concurrently, and to
successfully meet deadlines.
Specific Requirements:Strong information technology experience in Web/Java based
development environments with the following: UNIX (Korn/CSH), XML, TCL, Expect, Perl, SQL, HTML/CGI, Java
Scripting
Strong analytical skills and problem-solving ability.
Web development experience with some SQL, DB2 and Oracle
database client and server administration.
This includes already strong working knowledge and experience
with Web Servers(Apache, iPlanet) and WebSphere/WebLogic
administration with strong understanding of java programming
concepts.
Excellent written, verbal communication and diagramming skills
for projects, documentation, turnover and Remedy dispatching.Success Factors: Strong Network understanding and ability to work with
monitoring tools for remote labs, distributed servers, SAN and
NAS environments.
Excellent Linux, Win2K3, VMWare, Volume Management and Patch
Management experience.
Inate and Independent troubleshooting ability along with
good/timely customer communication skills.
