Sr. Software Integration Architect, CNBC Broadband

Business Unit: NBC UniversalFunction: Information TechnologyResponsibilities: *Lead Architect & Design Software Applications.
Conduct Technical Feasibility Study & Technology.
Provide Technical Expertise to the Development team.
Review codes and provide final signoff of code before going to QA.
Work on Implementing or Integrating Frameworks of Key application modules.
Responsible for coding practices, code review for offshore, Extended Integration Team.
Integration of 3rd party Software through documented SDK's.
Provide recommendations for new project initiatives.
Establish development timelines for product delivery.
On-time delivery of software development.
Research newer Technologies for their suitability to CNBC Broadband.

REQUIREMENTS
Qualifications: *A minimum of 10 years experience working in the design, development, and management of client/server and web applications.
5 years in-depth experience designing and implementing database schema, web application performance analysis and tuning of scalable database applications.
5 years experience in object-oriented programming. Prior experience developing applications using design patterns such as MVC in Java, C++ or object-oriented Perl.
In-depth knowledge of multiple current web markup and/or scripting languages: HTML, XHTML, XML, CSS, Javascript, PHP and Perl. Experience with Ajax technology is a must.
Minimum 1 year experience working with team members and designers in the early stage definition and development of quality software solutions.
Minimum 5 years experience designing and developing large, complex web services, with a focus on architectures that are scalable and maintainable.Desired: *Deep understanding of the need to develop an extensible application architecture as the basis for broadly-scoped web services.
Familiarity with the real world issues involved in deploying high traffic, dynamic web services.
Self-motivated, with strong attention to detail.
Strong project management and coordination skills, with the ability to excel in a fluid, cross-functional team environment.
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
Experience designing and implementing browser-based web applications and sites.
