Sr. Software Developer

Department: Information Services Job Description: Develop and implement software solutions (in-house and purchased applications with an emphasis on Oracle) utilizing the full range of life cycle activities (i.e. analysis, design, implementation, deployment and ongoing support).
Provide support (24x7 onsite-on-call) for production systems.
Research problems, define changes, prepare, test and install changes.
Lead design and analysis for each assigned project including creation of Technical System Design.
Follow and demonstrate an understanding of adopted processes/methodologies. Demonstrate an understanding of business and technical requirements for each assigned project. Create Logical Architecture and Data Model for less complex systems. Participate in project meetings and development meetings (e.g. Design Review, Code Review, Output Review).
Identify changes in scope as they occur and notify appropriate team members.
Provide estimate of hours needed to complete assigned tasks/project, with assistance as needed.
Provide input to schedules and follow accordingly to meet project deadlines.
Coach and mentor partners. Play an active role with hiring future partners. Lead or work as part of a project team to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Provide for and participate in educational, personal growth and cross-training opportunities. Provide work direction/assignments to others. Initiate and implement process improvement opportunities.Job Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS, or Business Administration or related field is required. 3 to 6 years of software development experience.Skill Requirement:
Demonstrate ability with project-specific programming languages, and system designs with a moderate to high level of complexity. Strong oral and written communication skills. Working knowledge of application development methodologies. Ability to work successfully independently and in teams. Demonstrated interpersonal and teaming skills. Ability to drive towards results. High energy/demonstrate initiative. Quick learner.
