Sr. Server Systems Analyst

Job Category: Information Technology/Server Systems AnalystGeneral Responsibilities: General Responsibilities
Review and make recommendations for systems hardware, software, procedures, and programs, perform analysis and reporting related to all required specifications.Prepare test plans related to implementations and migrations.
Interface with testers, management, technical specialists and users to obtain the resolution of complex, analytical and technical issues.Develop Microsoft / Unix / Mainframe interfaces.
Maintain systems and support modifications for all enterprise applications.Participate in design solutions and walkthroughs for all business systems.Drive change in processes and technology.
REQUIREMENTS
Skills and Experience Required: Bachelors Degree in Computer Science or related field (Required)
Minimum 5 years of experience (Required)
Ability to establish key metrics and manage resources to meet goals and objectives. (Required)
Must be able to work in cross-functional teams with the ability to create solutions that are timely and effective. (Required)
3+ years experience demonstrated ability to mentor and assist team members with complex issues and appropriate resolutions. (Required)
Demonstrated ability to provide technical LAN and server drawings utilizing Visio. (Required)
5+ years experience in hardware installation, OS setup & configuration, disk management and TCP/IP networking on Linux (Required)
3+ years of demonstrated ability for strategic and tactical planning of Local Area Network and servers.
5+ years of in depth experience and knowledge of at least one of the following: Linux and one other Unix variant. (Required)
Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate verbally, in writing (includes reports on technical issues), writing purchase justifications, investment proposals etc. (Required)
Demonstrated ability to work on multiple technical projects and tasks concurrently (Required).
Ability to help create long-term vision for the infrastructure group (Required).
Effective team player shows initiative and is self-motivated (Required).
Experience with vendor negotiations and product evaluations (Required).
Demonstrated ability to clearly communicate technical concepts verbally and in writing. (Required)
Proven experience responding to system failures during normal business hours and on call in a 24x7 environment.
