Sr. Product Marketing Manager- Security Software

Global leader in information security providing a broad range of software, appliances and services designed to help individuals, small and mid-sized businesses, and large enterprises secure and manage their IT infrastructure is looking to fill their Sr. Product Marketing Manager position in Cupertino, CA.

This Product Marketing Manager (PMM) position requires a marketing professional responsible for outbound marketing activities with regards to the market leading Windows data protection solution.

Primary responsibility focuses on demand creation through development of product and solution messaging for customers and multiple channels. This will include product and competitive positioning as well as development of product marketing and launch plans, product collateral and web information, sales training and presenting to sales/technical audiences, sales tool development, pre-sales support, post-sales support, and maintaining relationships with key customers, partners, press, and industry analysts.

This position will significantly contribute to the development and support of partnerships as well as internal client organizations to market solutions and services in addition to raising solution awareness within the appropriate channels. This person will work closely with Product Management, Channel

Marketing, Corporate Marketing, OEM Partners, and Engineering by communicating customer needs and requirements. Travel would typically be 1 week per month (but could be more or less) in order to provide sales support, attend/staff trade shows/conferences and meet with key partners.
REQUIREMENTS
Minimum of 4 - 6 years experience in IT or marketing roles in a high-technology company.
- Undergraduate or graduate degree in computer science, mathematics, management of information system, business administration or marketing. MBA preferred.
- Knowledge of enterprise or channel software products for data protection.
- Knowledge of Windows systems and architectures. Knowledge of the computer storage market.
- Excellent Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, PowerPoint, Word, Excel)
