Sr. Java EE/XML Developer

Purpose: Our client, a leader in their industry is currently seeking a Sr. Java EE/XML Developer for their 6 month right to hire position (would go perm after initial 6 months) in Birmingham, AL.

The chosen candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing software solutions leveraging Java EE and XML technologies. They will be involved in a full lifecycle of development including architecture, development estimation, proof of concept and prototype creation, design, implementation and some quality assurance.

Qualified candidates will possess the following:

-B.S. in Engineering or other technical discipline
-3-5 years experience as a Java developer
-Working knowledge of current Java EE architectural/development best practices (e.g. SOA, dependency injection, ORM) required
-Working knowledge of XML parsing in a Java environment (Xerces API, XPath, XQuery, XSD, XSLT) required
-Working knowledge of SQL required

All work will be performed on-site in Birmingham during a 40 hour work week. Candidates local to the Southeast are highly preferred!
