Sr. IT Analyst - Internet / Router Services

Join the Internet / Router Services team and assume a position with a primary focus of installation and support for Cargill's Internet/Router Infrastructure and related Internet security technology. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in the multiple facets of Internet Security technology and its use in solving business challenges and will work under general supervision. Technologies include but would not be limited to Routers, Firewalls, Proxy Servers and Remote Access.Responsibilities include but are not limited to:Maintenance and support of Internet internal and external production infrastructure, labs, and other components of the Internet infrastructure to include: proxy servers and intrusion detection systems, firewalls, routers, and remote access servers.
Lead or work within a team for projects. Ensure that projects are on-time, within budget, and in agreement with client expectations. Strong contributor to project planning and execution.Ongoing security audits and infrastructure security risk assessments Make recommendations regarding procedures, project scope, deadlines, and budget, and new technology initiatives. Mentor new or less experienced employeesCollaborate with Information Protection to determine the most appropriate technical solution to address Security Policy.
This includes scheduled 24 x 7 oncall as well on site requirements for scheduled support and availability for start of business day issues.
Maintain process & procedure documentation.
Make independent decisions and take action regarding on the spot operational corrections within standardized practices and procedures.
Plan, develop, and execute complex technology projects. Support very complex portions of the projects or infrastructure. Lead successful execution of a range of medium to large technical projects. Work independently, receive direction through monitoring of progress and results. Position has impact on project budgets of $100,000-$500,000.


Unique Position Details:This position is covered under Cargill's Employment Dispute Resolution (EDR) Program. Upon date of hire, you will be provided with a copy of the EDR program and will have thirty (30) days to consider EDR and whether you want to opt out.
REQUIREMENTS


Requirements:

Bachelors degree in Computer Science, MIS, or equivalent experience.

Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing technology on a continual basis. Ability to execute operational tasks and troubleshoot problems in most components of the technology structure. IT knowledge in the areas of data communication, networking, and operating systems. Good written and verbal communication skills. Ability to work successfully in both a team environment and independently. Knowledge of TCP/IP addressing and network protocols. Network troubleshooting experience. Understanding of routing and the OSI model. Able to implement solutions independently


Desired:Experience with Firewalls, Routers, Remote Access and LAN technology. Knowledge of project management, planning, and organization Demonstrated in-depth knowledge of standards and developed and emerging technologies that affect or will affect Cargill environments Experience with change management
