Sr. Associate, Support Specialist for External Middleware Operat

Job DescriptionThis is a key role on the External Middleware Operations team. This is a Level 2 support position and requires considerable knowledge in the technical areas, strong problem determination and resolution skills. Finally, the position requires and individual with strong communication skills that can communicate effectively with management, technical staff, and business partners.

REQUIREMENTS
REQUIRED SKILLS:
Support Specialist Skills Required:
Strong technical knowledge of Apache, WebSphere and Unix.
Knowledge of networking, TCPIP and firewalls.
Strong written and verbal skills are essential.
Communicate effectively with management and technical staff within BT and the business units.
Business skills and understanding of the measures of business activity within the industry and how they impact BT and DFSStrong problem solving and problem determination skills.
Working knowledge of key applications and owners of those applications.
Strong knowledge of the PDP process.
Initiative.
Ability to work independently.
Ability to lead calls and keep the focus on resolving the issue.
Familiar with basic Administration skills for Websphere 4.x and 5.x, CTG, DB2Cconnect, Websphere MQ, Apache Web Server.
Tool use and knowledge of Wily, Tivoli, and Maestro.
