POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

This individual will be a Software Testing Analyst for the International business unit at CHRW. The suite of applications include web-based and Windows-based applications written in Microsoft Technologies.

Responsibilities include:
•Design and develop test plans, traceability matrices, test cases and test scripts from requirements, use-cases, design documents and other project documentation
•Determine conditions under which tests are to be conducted
•Identify data requirements and create data
•Manually execute test scripts to validate functionality
•Report and track defects resulting from the test effort
•Participate in peer reviews for requirements and technical specifications
•Lead peer reviews for test plans and cases
•Support concurrent projects in an organized manner
•Provide status and metrics reporting to management and project team members
•Proactively recommend and support process improvements

QUALIFICATIONS:
Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:

•5 years minimum experience required with test documentation development including test plans, test reports, test cases, test scenarios
•5 years minimum experience executing test cases and documenting the results
•2 years minimum experience required with the development and analysis of test metrics including organizing and providing recommendations from those metrics
•Knowledge of Microsoft technologies including .Net, VB, ASP
•Extensive hands-on experience with software and system testing
•Familiar with the requirements process and providing feedback on requirement reviews
•Effective listening, verbal and written skills
•Experience with test development and hands on application test
•Attention to detail
•Excellent problem solving/analysis skills
•Excellent follow-through skills - is able to take the problem and see it through to its solution; assertive; a self-starter (proactive)
•Have pride in his/her work
•Enthused about providing the best service to client and a quality product
•Team player

Preferred Skills:
•Ability to program tools for testing in various languages
•Familiar with development in VB6 or VB.net
•Familiar with Rational Testing Tools
•Experience in Process Improvement/Process Development
•Knowledge of the import/export transportation industry
Education Required:
Undergraduate degree in a related field or related work experience.
