Software Development Specialist

This position is located in our Ithaca, NY office.

The Software Development Specialist will be involved in all phases of development, from design to coding. Relay software/customer issues to Lead Developer and aid in solutions. Provide Technical Support for Oracle base systems, including constant interface with customer to aid in implementation, and resolve ongoing questions and issues. Review and test new applications as developed and advise/implement quality assurance. Provide on-site and telephone customer assistance in implementation of systems. Continually interacts with personnel at all levels of company and wide range of customers.

Responsibilities

Aid in development and design of existing and new software applications
Assist in documentation of new applications
Provide technical support and training to internal and external customers
Test and review of new applications

Qualifications Required
Programming experience - C, C++
Relational Database familiarity
Excellent customer service skills and ability to work with all types of people
Strong organization skills and ability to work under and meet deadlines
Ability to organize and complete multiple tasks at one time
Strong oral and written communications
Positive and professional demeanor
Ability to travel 10-25 %
