Software Developer (4536)

The main responsibility of the qualified candidate is to develop software applications that utilize Internet and/or Database systems with minimal supervision. The candidate's specific job functions may include: Developing and Designing software modules and applications in ASP, ASP. Net, JAVA, HTML, Java Script, and other languages; Analyzing written and verbal requirements to develop the application that satisfies the requirements; Developing database stored procedures and triggers; Writing test documents and performing release testing; On-site installation of the systems; Communicating with internal/external customers, both verbally and in writing (emails, correspondences); Reporting development progress to the project manger/lead engineer; Learning new software development technology.Requires Bachelors degree or equivalent and 8-10 years of related experience. The successful candidate must possess: Solid understanding of structured and object oriented software programming fundamentals; Solid understanding of multi-tier Internet based application development with RDBMS. Experience and knowledge in developing applications using ASP, ASP.Net, JSP, and RDBMS; Experience and knowledge in designing and developing database systems in ORACLE or SQL Server; Understanding of Windows OS and IIS application server configurations; Experience and solid understanding of complete SDLC; Knowledge in database design and SQL; Excellent communication skills both in verbal and in writing.Desired:
The candidates with the knowledge/experience in the following areas will be desired: Experience using Development Environment such as Eclipse or Visual Studio.Net; Systems & OS: Intel based HW architecture, Windows Servers, UNIX, Java App Servers (Apache, Tomcat,&), multi-tier system architecture; Network: Basic understanding of TCP/IP, Windows network, Firewall Familiarity with CMMI software development methodology.
