SharePoint Developer

Candidate will be administering, supporting and developing a Windows Sharepoint Portal site. Will be responsible for working with end-users to define and document requirements, for designing and developing solutions that meet or exceed these requirements, for implementing and testing these solutions using configuration management, QA, and QC processes, for supporting the training of users, and for supporting these solutions in the production environment. Candidate will also be expected to assist in developing the strategy for optimal use of Sharepoint and other collaborative tools within the organization. Candidate must be able to work with very little supervision in a highly charged and fast paced environment.The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on professional Sharepoint administration, development, and support experience and application development experience using Microsoft technologies, including .NET Framework, ASP.NET, ADO.NET, VB.NET, C#.NET, XML, Visual Studio.NET, and the Sharepoint SDK. Candidate should also have infrastructure knowledge and experience that includes MS Server 2003, Internet Information Server (IIS 6), and MS SQL Server. Candidate should have knowledge and experience with Sharepoint customization using Site Definitions, Sharepoint Templates and development of custom web parts.Background and Experience: (including education, skills, work activities)

6-9 years of Development Experience
3-4 years of experience Supporting Microsoft SharePoint
Experience working with and developing in a SharePoint Environment
Experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000
Customer Web Part Development(b) Desired:
Experience with Special Operations
Experience with Live Communication Server
Experience with Autonomy, Meridio, Entopia
