Server Operator

Modis has a great new opportunity available on 21st Avenue in town for a Server Operator.

This job is very similar to a system administrator.
We are looking for a Server Operator to work in the Operations Department.

Summary:
Demonstrated experience in operating and monitoring distributed Windows systems and networks. The ideal candidate would have knowledge and experience as a server operator. Demonstrated knowledge and troubleshooting skills utilizing computer systems monitoring and diagnostic tools. Ability to do problem determination and perform 2nd level support for the server environment. Ability to navigate within a number of monitoring and messaging systems, analytical and decision making skills, excellent phone and customer skills, and ability to handle multiple tasks efficiently and accurately.

Required experience and skills:
Demonstrated experience as a Server Operator (5+ years). Experience with Windows, DNS, Active Directory and Printing. Dell and IBM xSeries and server compatible hardware.

MCP certification required.

Preferred experience and skills:
Demonstrated experience with NT, UNIX, HPSD, MS Office Products, Network protocols, Outlook 2003/XP, wireless technologies, VPN, Databases (SQL Server, Oracle, Access).

MSCE2000 or 2003 preferred.

The position's hours could be either:

9:00 pm - 7:30 am Wednesday - Saturday
Or,
3:00 pm - 1:30 am Wednesday - Saturday
