Senior Unix Administrator
We are looking for a talented senior level Linux/UNIX system administrator to join our fast-paced IT team to manage our enterprise Linux and UNIX environments. This position requires a broad set of skills and will be responsible for designing, installing, configuring, tuning, documenting, implementing and supporting enterprise-level Linux and UNIX servers for production, test, and development environments, including management and maintenance of our storage infrastructure.
Responsibilities include advanced operational server support, change management, capacity planning, storage management, disaster recovery preparedness, as well as troubleshooting a variety of support issues. Advanced and demonstrable experience within a multi-server, enterprise Linux/UNIX environment is required.
In addition, technical consulting and strategic planning with peers, management, and customers will be required. Duties also include implementation efforts for process improvement, scripting, task automation, kernel tuning, system monitoring, patch management, and file system management.

REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor’s degree in an appropriate field and a minimum of 6 years of senior level UNIX administration and 2-3 years of Linux server management and administration is necessary. This position requires in-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with Linux, UNIX, storage arrays, and fiber channel SAN/Brocade switches. Strong clustering, EMC Storage, and SAN administration skills are needed. Familiarity with Oracle and SAP a plus.
