Job Description:
Inventory Systems Data Management Senior Programmer Analyst - Ab Initio. Responsible for the design and development of various data marts that are integrated with the MDSS data warehouse. Support software components using Walgreens' ETL, Data Modeling, Query Tools, LDD and Integrated Forecasting. Deliver user requirements documents and follow application development documentation and process. May work individually, or as a member, or leader of project development teams.

Responsibilities:
Responsible for the analysis, design and development of batch processes. These processes will work independently or may integrate with other applications. Develops and maintains systems and programs to include system and program design; program coding; test plan design and implementation to verify accuracy of programs and the interdependent relationship of programs and systems; system and program analysis for satisfying user needs, maintainability and efficiency. Leads walkthroughs and post implementation reviews. Responsible for properly documenting and overseeing documentation practices for project requirements, design and technical specs.

Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science and at least 3 or more years of experience with Ab Initio. Must have strong ETL development background and object oriented analysis and design experience. Strong knowledge of ETL tools like Ab Initio and strong experience in Perl, Shell scripting, C++, SQL, and other programming languages as well as be able to optimize and tune complex queries. Also required is Oracle 9.2 design ,data model maintenance and data loading experience. Must be able to mentor team members. Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) are required.
