Chartered in 1746, and known as the College of New Jersey until 1896, it was British North America's fourth college.Position Summary: The Administrative Information Services department of Princeton University's Office of Information Technology (OIT) seeks a Senior Programmer to join its Packaged Solutions Group. This position is responsible for implementing, customizing, and testing third party packaged software systems. This position also designs and develops interfaces between new and existing systems; troubleshoots operational application issues, and implements appropriate solutions; analyzes and modifies existing computer programs and systems as required and develops necessary documentation. In addition, this position is responsible for migrating changes to controlled production environments, and provides application support to customers, and communicates periodically with users and vendors.Job Function: Systems ProfessionalGrade: AIT 030Standard Hours: 36.25Eligible for Overtime: NoJob Requirements
Essential Qualifications: The successful candidate must have a minimum of 5 years experience and a proven track record in the installation, upgrade, enhancement, and support of administrative applications. The successful candidate must have the following technical skills: Knowledge of, and experience with: Client/server, Oracle 9i or higher, SQL scripting, PL /SQL, Job scheduling Basic working knowledge of: Windows operating systems (2000 or XP) At least 2 web server platforms among: - MS IIS - Apache WebServer - Tomcat In addition, the successful candidate must posses: - Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively in teams - Excellent analytical and problem solving skills - The ability to work with business analysts in specification development - The ability to communicate effectively with diverse user base having varied levels of technical proficiencies A Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experienceEducation Required: Other-see essential qualifications
