Senior Program Manager



Responsible for the successful delivery of large scale, strategic, and cross-company technology initiatives including program definition, management, implementation, and communication. Accountable for the timely and cost effective delivery of business initiatives. Principal responsibility set will include:




- Create and manage programs including project plans and artifacts, resource management and internal/external communication plans


- Complete complex, long-term projects within budgetary and scheduling guidelines


- Evaluate projects and conduct cost benefit analyses


- Set project strategies, develop detailed project plans and manage/schedule resources to meet plan deliverables


- Conduct trend analysis


- Communicate and review project outputs/solutions to/with internal and external parties including senior management, internal steering committees and clients/customers


- Facilitate identification of risk and mitigation plans


- Drive problem investigation and resolution


- Coordinate multiple project teams simultaneously


- Understand project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member


- Create appropriate infrastructure for teamwork, communications and ownership required for successful project completion


- Guide team to complete projects on time and within budget


- Assess progress and report status to clients and management


- Make recommendations regarding process improvements


- Direct teams and resolve project issues as required




Job Requirements:

Candidate will possess:



- 5 + years of direct project management experience

- Previous experience creating project plans, work plans and resource plans

- Demonstrated success managing projects across the entire SDLC

- Expertise with MS Project

- Advanced project management skills training, PMP certification desirable

- Outstanding oral and written communication skills

- Proven leadership, mediation and facilitation skills - particularly in matrixed and cross-departmental teams

- Experience managing multiple, complex projects simultaneously

- Demonstrated capability to get results in a complex, often ambiguous environment

- Proven ability to identify and resolve barriers to effective project management

- Previous success staying committed to long-term project goals and directing project outcomes based on long term business objectives

- Ability to manage change

- Team building skills

- Demonstrated mentoring and educating ability

- Ability to establish trust and credibility
