Senior PL/SQL Developer

RESPONSIBILITIES:The position involves knowledge of bulk data
transformation and loading to an Oracle 10g
database. The applicant will be responsible
for the design, implementation, and maintenance
of at least two bulk data loading systems for
MLS data (real estate); enhancements will be
required in addition to maintenance of the
existing systems. The applicant will also be
responsible for exports of internal data to
real estate partners (including Yahoo!).
Preferred applicant will be capable of database
(re-)design including modifications for
consistency, useful normalizations, and speed
optimizations relating to data retrieval.
System development is PERL with PL/SQL packages
for database access, and supporting scripts
written to use either sh or bash. Preferred
skills include:Database development techniques - data
architecture, normalization, and warehousing.
System design - hardware and integration
techniques.
Technical writing - documentation in
particular, but any technical writing is
advantageous.Experience in data and system analysis is
strongly preferred.REQUIREMENTS:Bachelors in Computer Science or related field strongly preferred.PERL - 2-3 years exp.
PL/SQL - 3 years exp.
Shell scripting (at least sh and bash) - 1 year exp.
