Senior Outlooksoft Consultant

Purpose: TEK systems is seeking a senior Outlooksoft consultant for our largest client in Downtown Baltimore, Maryland to assist with their Outlooksoft Support Team.
Our client requires a technical resource capable of assisting the IT Corporate Performance Management support team provide the infrastructure and interfaces required to enable each of our major business units to use OutlookSoft. OutlookSoft is a planning, budgeting and forecasting tool that creates OLAP cubes to allow the business to perform financial analysis.
Role:
The primary function of this resource is to perform routine support associated with environment availability (PROD, TEST, DEV), migration of custom software components, software development of interfaces, application design and troubleshooting the use of OutlookSoft delivered functionality. The resource will be a member of the Corporate Applications & Collaborative Technologies department. Members of this team are required to collaborate with the internal users including ?C? level executives, systems integration personnel, and the OutlookSoft Support team as well as other members of the IT department(s).

Responsibilities:
1.Establish / maintain / upgrade application environments:
a.Install OutlookSoft software on servers and desktops,
b.Configure environments
c.Define Instance strategy

2.Maintaining OutlookSoft?s operations architecture:
a.Performance and Systems monitoring
b.Patch Management
c.Software migrations
d.Application Set management

3.Maintaining OutlookSoft?s application support architecture
a.Data, Dimension & Modeling management
b.Analysis management
c.Change Control and change management
d.Interact w/business users to provide guidance on the use of OutlookSoft functionality

4.Maintaining OutlookSoft?s integration architecture
a.Developing and maintaining custom interfaces
b.Developing and maintaining custom DTS packages
c.Supporting embedded portal and/or Sharepoint

5.Maintaining OutlookSoft?s infrastructure architecture
a.Packaging Desktop components
b.Ensuring use of backup and recovery procedures
c.Collaborate with internal Support Center
d.Maintain an effective working relationship with DBA?s and WEB team
e.Understand OutlookSoft?s impact on CE?s data network

Requirements:

Technical: 2-3 years experience in a development environment including, but not limited to (requirements listed in order of importance):

1.Multi-project experience with OLAP products and terminology, preferably OutlookSoft.
2.Experience with Extract-Transform-and-Load processes (packages) particularly Microsoft?s Data Transformation Services (DTS) preferred.
3.Multi-project experience with Oracle Application?s flexfields particularly the accounting key flexfield and its multiple hierarchy capability.
4.Experience installing software in a Windows environment
5.Experience with server management software including enterprise manager, analysis services, etc.
6.Experience with SQL (Oracle and Microsoft)
7.Experience with SQL Server
8.Experience developing in a Windows platform
9.Ability to develop and unit test interface components as required.
10.Excellent knowledge of or prior experience demonstrating the ability to create interfaces to flat files and RDBMS;
11.Ability to tune data extracts for performance.
12.Familiarity with ODBC, OLE and FTP concepts.

Desired Skills:

Experience extracting from Oracle Financials 11i
Creating queries using Multi-Dimensional expressions (MDX)
