Senior Manager of Network Services

The Senior Manager, Network Services will plan, implement and support the local and wide area network infrastructure, the voice communication systems, security, and all related technologies for our clients North America Sites. This person will manage staff, lead projects, control costs, and coordinate assigned activities with other departments and locations as required Provide technical management for the company's 24x7 local and wide area production networks, voice systems, and associated technologies. Manage staff of engineers. Ensure network security, utilizing tools & techniques in support of company policies. Serve as project leader for network infrastructure initiatives. Develop project plans, assign and manage resources, identify and solve problems, meet deliverables. Design and implement high-quality technical solutions to meet business requirements in a cost-effective fashion. Establish baseline performance and availability measurements. Proactively monitor and report on performance and availability metrics for the network infrastructure. Evaluate new and emerging technologies for application in the company's network infrastructure, leading toward convergence. Work with senior IT management to plan initiatives. Interface/collaborate with IT and non-IT colleagues to solve problems and complete projects. Coordinate with local, regional, and global counterparts. Document the network infrastructure to meet all compliance requirements. Manage vendor relationships to ensure satisfactory support levels.
REQUIREMENTS
BS in a related field; certifications (CCNA, CCNE, CCNP, CISSA) a plus 10+ years related professional experience 5+ years in positions of staff management and technical project management, preferably in large organizations (1,000+ employees) with locations across North America Ability to create and implement detailed project plans Expert level technical skills including: TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, routing protocols, Cisco routing/switching platforms Network management/monitoring tools such as HPOV and protocol analyzers Wireless networking products such as 802.11x in a corporate environment Network security products such as Checkpoint FW-1 & VPN-1, RADIUS Remote access (IPSec and SSL VPN) technologies VoIP Cable/plant design and management Avaya phone systems knowledge desired e-mail resume to [Click here for email] www.beckerstaffing.com
