Job Summary:
The Senior Information Technology Analyst provides technical and system engineering support.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF POSITION INCLUDE, BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO THE FOLLOWING:*
Represents Comcast in a professional and positive manner in all situations.

Identify and reconcile Comcast Information Protection Policy violations.

SMS package creation, including OSD images.

Advanced desktop performance monitoring and tuning.

Patch and virus scanning architecture / strategy using SMS or WSUS.

Tier 2 desktop troubleshooting / escalations.

Inter-departmental coordination.

Print queue setup / support.

Active Directory and Group Policy rights and responsibilities.

Manage equipment lifecycle.

Compliance work relevant to Comcast Information Protection Policies.

End user education including ability to explain the logic behind a policy.

Deploy Software using Microsoft SMS.

Correlate basic desktop application interdependencies.

Troubleshoot desktop applications.

Approved PDA installation and configuration.

Local printer setup.

Test, deploy, and troubleshoot desktop patches / virus scanning.

Perform/move/add/change as well as maintenance for desktop/laptop computers, telephones, and network printers. This includes installing new equipment for users and replacement of non functioning equipment.

Install and maintain software on desktop computers.

Perform automated system imaging.

Basic network troubleshooting

Update changes to current documentation.

End user education.

Punctual, regular, and consistent attendance.

Ability to work mandatory overtime.

Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
MINUMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
3+ years experience with Desktop / Laptop / Printer hardware.

3+ years experience with current Microsoft Desktop OS and applications.

1 year experience with Microsoft SMS or comparable system management tools.

Fluent with VB scripting including WMI and ADSI.

Experience implementing and managing patch deployment systems.

Understanding of network topology, IP networking, routing, and name resolution.

Experience with management of name resolution services (WINS / DNS).

1-2 years administering active directory and group policy.

Experience with application packaging and deployment with Microsoft SMS or comparable system management tools.

Understanding of IP Networking.

Understanding of basic computer hardware.

Demonstrated understanding of telephone and network cabling.

TRAINING/CERTIFICATIONS:
MCSA - Microsoft Certified System Administrator (MCDST + 3 courses).

Microsoft AD Training.

Microsoft SMS Training.

N+

MCDST - Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (2 courses).

Dell Certified for desktop / laptop.

A+ Certification or equivalent experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
HP printer certification.
