Senior Developer
You will provide outsourcing/co-sourcing services to clients. You will use your technical IT skills to assist in supporting, customizing, and enhancing a large web-based Employee Benefits Enrollment and Administration System. You will use your project management and communication skills, and your commitment to client service, to provide operational excellence in delivering administrative services.
You will participate in the full system development life cycle, including the following:Develop application system design specifications,Program new system features as well as updates and enhancements,Customize system features and functions to meet specific client requirements,Perform QA and testing,Work with customers to implement web-based systems and the related administrative services,May be involved in providing system-related training to customersRespond to changing customer requirements, as well as technical issues,Prepare and enhance technical system documentation, as well as documentation of operating procedures.
You will provide technical support to client companies, and will have significant customer interface both by phone and in face-to-face customer meetings.
Your training and experience in project planning and project management techniques will be used to clarify customer requirements, develop schedules for resolution of issues, commit to deadlines, provide frequent status updates to Management and customer management, and to complete projects on schedule and within budget.
You will lead and/or support best practices for change control and security, and you will apply accepted industry standards and techniques for developing and enhancing systems.
When appropriate, you may be called upon to write portions of technical proposals to customers, and to participate in business development presentations to customers
Requirements:
Bachelors degree, preferably in Business or Computer Information Systems
3-7 years of related experience
OTHER QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge and experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2000, Transact-SQL, Stored Procedures, Microsoft ASP, Microsoft Visual Basic 6 COM, HTML, VBScript, JavaScript, CSS, Microsoft IIS, Microsoft .NET Framework.
Training and experience with project management processes and tools.
You must be highly motivated and have the ability to excel in a fast-paced environment and quickly acquire proficiency.
Commitment to quality and operational excellence.
A background in Employee Health & Welfare Administration experience is a definite plus.
Ability to communicate effectively is essential. This position requires courteous and professional communication with customers, co-workers, and management, both verbally and in writing.
Must have proven ability to establish effective, professional working relationships with both customers and co-workers.
Must be detail oriented.
