Candidate will guide and participate in the development of PL/SQL and JAVA stored procedures, perl Scripts, perl CGI applications. Additionaly, candidate will assist in the design and development of middle-tier business objects. Depending on specific projects, candidates roles will range from hands on development to acting as a project consultant or project manager to assure project success during the design and implementation phases. The candidate should feel comfortable working independently or leading a team development effort. Additional responsibilities will include query performance analysis, technical documentation, technical consulting to lines of business which require database access, and a dedication to continuous improvement.

Major Responsibilities/Project:
Design and implement JAVA and PL/SQL procedures that address complex data transformation, migration, and retrieval within and between Oracle database environments.
Design and implement feed transformations and acquisition in Perl and Linux shell scripting.
Design and implement data operations applications developed in Oracle and Perl CGI or other open source development tool.
Requirements and Design: Work with the Sr. Architects, DBAs, and Sr. Developers in identifying and documenting optimal data transformation and data retrieval solutions.
Implementation: Take a leadership role in implementing PL/SQL and JAVA database stored procedures and object-based methods.
Quality Assurance: Work with the Quality Assurance team to ensure that all steps of the development process are completed in both a highly reliable fashion and with the highest quality.
Documentation and Delivery: Work with the appropriate groups to create and deliver all necessary technical documentation.
Project Management: Project manage various data development projects to completion. Work with internal and external teams members to assure that requirements are clearly defined and meet. Also work to assure project delivery in required time frames.
Project Consultant: Participate in a variety of projects to help assure that project directions meet overall team and technical objectives. Participate in mentoring junior team members to help assure that coding standards and best practices are followed.

REQUIREMENTS
Senior Data Developer

Qualifications:
Typical background includes a BS/MS in Computer Science and/or 5-7 years relevant technical experience.
Qualified candidates will have a minimum of 3-5 years of Oracle application development experience using PL/SQL and JAVA in a high-volume OLTP environment. An in-depth/DBA level knowledge of both Oracle database administration and PL/SQL programming is required.
Experience with n-tier architectures and object-oriented development using JAVA is preferred. Experience with scripting languages such as PERL/CGI.
Self-motivated with excellent problem solving skills.
Demonstrated experience in full life-cycle development is required.
Good verbal and written communication skills.The candidate must be comfortable working in a high-energy, team-orientated, rapidly changing environment
