This position is expected to bring a high degree of credibility and knowledge to the Strategy Management team and CHOP from external business process positions. Serves as the principle liaison between Strategy Management and key network stakeholders groups - executive, administration and physician leadership. Manages the assessment of strategic organizational business needs and translates these requirements into an implementable action plan(s). Serves as a senior advisor in the design, development, delivery (incl. knowledge transfer) and evaluation of end-user focused analytical solutions / tools. Leverages critical Decision Support standards and methodologies to (1) advance the effective management of key knowledge assets, (2) encourage more data responsive leadership, (3) promote data driven decision-making and (4) enhance overall end-user analytical capability. Will work independently within established project objectives and render decisions within the overall project specific structure. Manages a Strategy Management staff of Sr. business analysts focused on meeting the strategic operational / performance needs of the organization. Obtains the necessary resources and assigns them with clear and accurate directions. Conducts project and team assessments throughout the project to ensure that the team stays on the timeline for delivery. The position requires senior-level demonstration of (1) the ability to clearly identify areas of need and to probe in those areas to determine workflow challenges and areas for improvement, (2) the skill to negotiate critical and controversial issues with CHOP clients, project team members and team support staff and (3) creativity, foresight and mature judgment in managing projects. REQUIREMENTS
Masters Degree required, MBA strongly preferred;
Minimum of 10 years related work experience in process / project management within a consulting type organization/framework.;
Minimum of 7 years business analyst experience with extensive background in analyzing business operations / systems and in developing business requirements for change and process management;
Consultant skills strongly preferred.
Additional Technical Requirements:
Project Mgmt Institute (PMI) Certification desired. Process redesign or reengineering training/experience preferred;
Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams that include internal employees as well as consultants and contractors;
Experience in IT projects and those that implement new business or clinical processes as a result of new technologies is strongly desired;
Must possess a highly consultative work style and specialized knowledge which can be translated to business strategy initiatives.
Required: strong proficiency with the Microsoft suite of products including: Excel, Project, Visio, Access, Word and PowerPoint
