SQL Server Developer/DBA

The successful candidate will work as a developer on one or more project teams using a broad set of skills and tools to meet the needs of corporate and division users. This position is responsible for assisting with the development and maintenance of business intelligence systems in addition to providing support to the application development team. The work involved with the Business Intelligence System requires an understanding of analytical requirements of our users and designing/building an appropriate analytical infrastructure—data warehouse, data marts —to support those user needs. This encompasses the use of ETL tools, the development of appropriate SQL code to support the creation and maintenance of evolving data warehouses and the development and building of data marts for focused user analytics.
REQUIREMENTS
Develop data load procedures using Microsoft T-SQL.
Develop permanent and ad-hoc end-user reports
Perform dimensional modeling to support corporate and division reporting and analysis needs.
Maintain and extend existing business intelligence applications.
Maintain and optimize SQL Server and SQL Server objects.
Work with internal customers to gather and clarify end-user requirements and business rules.
Work within a defined software development process, specified architecture, and adhere to naming conventions and coding standards.
Participate in design and code reviews.
Develop custom tools, utilities, and applications as needed to support BI activities as well as those of other teams.
Mentor and cross-train other team members in areas of expertise.
Perform DBA duties as required.The successful candidate must have the following skills:2+ years experience using Transact SQL, stored procedures, triggers and views.
