SQL Server Database Administrator

Purpose: Through sophisticated analytics, which are grounded in academic research, and their personalized Health Coaching resources, this mid sized health care client can address the issues facing the healthcare industry today. They are able to identify opportunities for improvement within a population and deliver programs that help individuals better understand their medical issues and become more engaged in managing their healthcare with their physicians. By identifying and addressing these issues, this client is able to improve healthcare quality and satisfaction while reducing overall costs to the system.

In order to help engage individuals in their healthcare, our clients work to provide them with unbiased medical information, teach them how to prepare for physician visits, and help them to consider their personal values and preferences in making medical decisions.

Our client is looking for someone who can provide technical support and database management of an enterprise made up of several Microsoft SQL Server instances. This is a very dynamic environment that includes production, development, and QA.

The major responsibilities include administration and management of SQL Server 2000 and 2005 in clustered configurations. Support of SQL Server tools, including DTS and SSIS. Support of integration between Oracle databases and SQL Server 2000 and 2005. Time will be split approximately 50/50 between daily support and projects. Daily support will primarily be of developers. Project work will be made up of improvements to the SQL Server infrastructure.

The requirements include:
-BS/BA
-Microsoft SQL Server Administration
-Microsoft Clustering
-Microsoft Server OS
-2+ years production SQL Server administration
