SQL Server DBA

Purpose: Must be articulate with excellent communication skills -

Thorough knowledge of SQL Server 2000 / minimum 5 years of analysis, design and implementation - Extensive knowledge of

relational database design and data modeling - Extensive understanding of administering a Microsoft SQL Server, Transact-SQL

(ANSI-SQL), and Distribution Transaction Services (DTS) - Solid database administration skills including troubleshooting and

performance tuning - Knowledge of MDAC (ADO, OLE-DB, ODBC) - Understanding of multi-phase transactions within the

Distribution Transaction Coordinator (DTC) - Ability to analyze and repair SQL Server performance issues - Knowledge of

Performance Monitor, SQL Profiler or comparable utility - Knowledge of replication setup and administration - Knowledge of

SQLServer administration within an Active Directory domain - Experience programming with T-SQL - Experience creating

triggers/functions/stored procedures to enforce business logic - Ability to provide accurate time estimates - Must be able to work in

a dead-line driven environment - Prefer SQL Certification
