SOX Project Manager
Welcome to Genesis HealthCare! We're setting the standard for clinical excellence and responsiveness in meeting the unique needs of every resident and patient in our care. We're focused on becoming the recognized leader in clinical quality and customer satisfaction in every market we serve.1.Work with the Process Owners, SOX project team and subject matter experts on overall SOX project management tasks. Specific emphasis will be placed on operating model improvements and control effectiveness.
2.Define, implement and execute the Year 2 SOX compliance test of design & operating effectiveness for GHC Information Systems general controls. Also define and coordinate any required remediation.
3.Define, implement and execute a project to put in place a baseline application development methodology for use by GHC Information Systems and the related key business areas.
4.Define, implement and execute a project to put in place a baseline testing methodology for application development, and IS infrastructure/support areas for use by GHC Information Systems and related key business areas.
a.Prefer knowledge of QA Center (Compuware)
b.Ability to define testing stages, plans and how to apply automation tools.
5.Coordinate requirements and design improvements of IS processes use of a CRM (SalesLogix) services application.
6.Coordinate the development of training materials to help with any transitions from old to revised process steps and/or controls, or any new process steps.
7.Understand the IS System Development Lifecycle, including some level of project experience (in-house developed or vendor installation).
8.Understand the Sarbanes – Oxley legislation at a working level. Particularly sections 302 and 404. Apply the knowledge to help design and develop documentation related to IS General Controls, segregation of duties, and risk assessments.
9.Understand IT Governance Institute, COBiT and COSO frameworks and apply these to the SOX effort.
10.Utilize the following tools within the assignment: MS Office, MS Excel, MS Visio, MS Share Point, MS Project, MS PowerPoint, Adobe, SalesLogix, MS Outlook.
11.Coordinate updates of documentation into the IS SOX project document library.
12.Assist the Project Director and/or Process Owners with gap analysis documentation.
13.Assist the Project Director and/or Process Owners with 3rd party and external auditor findings and remediation recommendations.Job Requirements
1.College degree in business, computer science or equivalent experience.
2.At least 7 years of project management experience.
3.Process or operating model experience with the following:
a.Project coordination and management – work scope, task definitions, etc.
b.Process implementation definition and task management
c.Data analysis and process design improvements
d.Test plan design and definition
e.Training plan development
f.Training materials development and training delivery
4.Provider healthcare experience required.
5.Minimum 2 years experience leading an IT General Controls Sarbanes-0xley compliance effort.
6.Broad understanding of development methodology.
7.Broad understanding of testing methodology, automated testing tools (suites), and how to apply testing standards to COTS implementations and development projects.
8.Capable and experienced matrix manager. Experience working with virtual and leveraged resource teams. Experienced in the use of Microsoft Project and in project management processes.
9.Effective “account executive” and business consultant. Excellent communication (oral, written, presentation) and interpersonal skill required. Excellent proposal development / presentation skills. Proven success as a primary liaison to business executive management.
10.Proven leadership and mentoring skills.
