Job Description

Management of all Applications Objects in the Global Applications Shared Services in compliance with ITIL
Configuration Management activities, in particular for Global Applications Shared Services
Execute and support scoping and estimation of proposed Business and Project Change Requests
Support the Planning of Configuration Management activities across projects
Manage the documentation of the business processes and the underlying configuration including customizing, functional/technical specifications, test scripts, and change control migration.
Review and approve changes according to configuration impact on existing production environment.
Perform tasks for Application Administration, Transport Management and Change Management.
Ensure existing Change Management and Change Control processes are strictly enforced.
Validate changes prior to build / implementation.
Perform quality assurance checks prior to release of changes from development systems.
Maintain compliance with standards published by FDA and ISO for technological changes in tandem with internal qualifications dictated by quality and regulatory, SOX compliance (KICS), and internal audit findings.
Configuration Management activities specifically related to the Change Control processes.
Prior to build, validation of submitted designs takes place on feasibility of design as well as on ensuring that the applications remain stable when the change is implemented. *Ensure a high level of quality software continues running on the PMS SAP systems Administration of the Business Process Master List, Design Documentation, Interface Registry, developer keys, access keys of objects under modification.
Reporting on the status of the Configuration and on changes going into Live Production (exception reporting).
Security status and security breaches
Compensating Control on exceptions in breach of process or regulation
Monitoring Application Upgrades and application of Release Notes to maintain currency, stability and security of the applications Support the development, implementation and maintenance of the department Quality System.
Establishing procedures for, and conducting reports on the quality of the software.
Support periodic audits to assure that the Quality System and its implementation are in compliance with the established quality system requirements (QA, Internal Audit, Kernel Internal Control System SOx, FDA), and are effective in the delivered changes.

The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills along with the ability to manage multiple tasks. Be willing to integrate new technologies to meet business objectives. Possess strong interpersonal communication skills, presentation skills. Functional knowledge of SAP Basis, Oracle/SQL Server databases systems. Knowledge of SAP Security, Profile Generator, ABAP a plus, but not required. Working knowledge of NT, Unix, PERL scripting. (HP UX desired but not required). Strong analytical & problem resolution skills are critical in this position. Must be able to find & identify solutions to business/technical problems.
