Innovative Science Solutions (ISS) represents a new concept in worldwide scientific consulting
At ISS we have assembled a highly qualified team of scientific experts dedicated to providing a wide range of scientific support to industry and counsel. We have assisted with issues involving pharmaceutical products, foods, medical devices, cosmetics, dietary supplements, and chemical exposures.
Due to expansion, we are seeking a Researcher to play an important role in all of Innovative Science Solutions' activities, and will be responsible for the following:
Identify, assemble and analyze information to support a variety of processes.
Support Consultants as well as senior staff on client, marketing, and administrative projects
Conducting information searches on both internet as well as proprietary databases (e.g., Dialog) to find information pertaining to experts, regulatory reports, and scientific literature.
Critique and evaluate scientific data to determine how it fits into the overall project.
Identify and make contact with scientific experts and opinion leaders.
Compile written work product for internal and external distribution (e.g., reports, expert recommendation reports, citation lists). and literature lists to accompany reports, manuscripts, monographs, reference lists, and other written work products.
Maintain integrity and organization of scientific literature files, including proper data entry of citation information
Draft presentations for client projects and marketing initiatives, using tools such as PowerPoint
Construct, populate, and maintain the integrity of information databases (e.g., literature and expert databases) and construct charts, figures and tables summarizing available scientific information.
Budget tracking as well as contact and scheduling with experts and subcontractors to move projects forward.
Ensure the accuracy and consistency of written work product
REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Undergraduate degree (B.A. or B.S.)
Familiarity with Windows-based personal computers
Working knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite (including Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint)
General facility with internet searching and web browsers (e.g., Internet Explorer)
Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Basic scientific analytic skills
Well-developed written and oral communication skills
Familiarity with literature database searching (e.g., DIALOG, Medline databases)
Working knowledge of statistics and basic scientific nomenclature and terminology
Familiarity with scientific data presentation, including interpretation of charts, tables, and figures
Ability to independently address basic consulting project needs (e.g., quickly finding scientific information on a specific topic, locating experts, finding publicly available reports, etc.).
