Research Tech Writer/Editor

Our Energy, Transportation and Environment (ETE) division is seeking a Research Tech Writer/Editor to based in Columbus, OH.

Position Responsibilities:
Technical editors with Battelle's Environmental Restoration Product Line work with project managers and engineers to present scientific reports and proposals in a form that is grammatically accurate and readable by both technical and non-technical audiences.

Two core responsibilities are (a) to work with technical staff in the review, development, and refinement of technical report content; and, (b) coordinate/supervise the process of document production with the text processing and clerical staff.
REQUIREMENTS


Required Qualifications:
BA in English / Communications or related field
Minimum two years professional experience with editing technical content
Strong familiarity with Microsoft Office suite and Adobe Acrobat 7.0 Standard
Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
Excellent English language and grammar skills
Excellent interpersonal skills
Experience working in team environment.

Preferred Qualifications: Demonstrated ability to work in a demanding customer service environment is a plus.
