Reports Developer , Sql Access VB

PRIMARY OBJECTIVE: Design and develop departmental reports from databases

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Work with departments and users to identify their reporting needs. Determine whether the required information is already available through an existing report or system query, or whether a new report must be developed.

2. Design, develop, and test departmental reports based upon user requirements.

3. Train users on how to obtain requested information and how to test/validate the data being reported.

4. Document reports including description, selection criteria, example, department requesting, report owner, modifications, revisions, etc.

5. Perform other duties as assigned, team participation by supervisor.
REQUIREMENTS
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE: Proficiency in Visual Basic, ODBC connections to Microsoft SQL and Oracle databases, Microsoft Access (including Access Basic), Excel and Excel Macros, Word and Word Macros, and Crystal reports. Candidate must have previous experience writing and documenting reports for multiple departments. Candidate must have good inter-personnel, communication and organizational skills. This job requires a College degree in Computer Sciences or equivalent work experience.
