RPG Programmer/Analyst
GTI has an immediate opening for an iSeries (AS/400) Programmer Analyst with 3+ years of IT experience. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance and support of our transportation based software system as well as the development of new features and functionality to support our business requirements. The Programmer Analyst will be responsible for managing and executing all tasks throughout the entire application development lifecycle including project proposal & plan, analysis, design, development, testing, implementation and documentation, utilizing our development methodologies and standards. In addition the candidate must possess a strong working knowledge of the iSeries architecture, and operating system.
Qualifications:
· Three or more years experience developing business applications on an iSeries (AS/400).

REQUIREMENTS
Required Technical Skills:
· Must possess strong programming skills in iSeries (AS/400) RPG, ILE, CL, DDS, SQL, SDA, and stored procedures.
· An excellent understanding of iSeries (AS/400) architecture and interfaces to other systems and devices such as bar code scanners, PC applications, etc.
· Demonstrates excellent technical and non-technical written and oral communication skills.
· Must possess excellent technical comprehension of networked systems, server and desktop operating systems.
Required attributes:
· Must have a proven track record for designing, developing, and implementing applications.
· Must be project management oriented and have ability to lead project planning and implementation when required.
· Ability to handle a variety of tasks at one time and use time effectively to complete tasks within established time frame.
· Must be self-motivated, possessing initiative and have a demonstrated track record of achieving and surpassing goals.
· Ability to work independently while focusing on project details, timely delivery and system quality.
· Must be adept at learning emerging technologies quickly.
· Self-motivated, ability to set priorities and meet deadlines.
Other Desired Skills:
· Experience with an Internet based systems.
· Experience with WebSphere.
· Experience with WDSC
· Working knowledge of network technology in a Microsoft Windows 2000/2003 Server environment.
· Working knowledge of network connectivity protocols (FTP, TCP/IP, etc.)
