QA/QC Test Center Coordinator

The QA/QC Test Center Coordinator position exists to measurably improve performance in delivering business solutions to clients; to achieve lower cost to MTS and higher quality to our clients. This position will demonstrate an extensive background in strategizing, planning, and coordination that will facilitate the creation of testing for software projects/applications, leveraging his/her experience and knowledge to assist in improving MTS QA/QC Testing Center Methodology.


Essential Duties/Responsibilities:

-Provides support for the Testing Center

-Assists in the development of proposals from a testing perspective

-Works closely with the project managers and test teams

-Provides coaching and mentoring activities to team members

-Adheres to QA/QC Testing Centers existing policies, processes and procedures

-Conducts and coordinates the testing environments with the Infrastructure Team

-Develops assigned Test Strategies and Test Plans for assigned projects

-Develops Test Summary for each assigned project in conjunction with the Project Test Lead

-Develops and reports on the test metrics

-Provides test estimates

-Ensures accurate and complete test estimates are produced

-Ensures accurate and complete test strategy, test plan, test summary and test metrics are completed for assigned projects and updated on ongoing basis

-Conducts peer reviews on testing documents

-Ensures execution of the test plan for each assigned project

-Ensures the project manager understands all the tasks that are required from a testing perspective

-Delivers on schedule based on the project plan

-Communicates and escalates of all issues as necessary

-Completes Status Reports

-Obtains signoff on key documents (Test Strategy, Test Plan, Test Summary)

-Is responsible for minimal variance to base budget and schedule (based on estimates)

-Is responsible for Time Reporting Compliance (on time and accurate)

-Complies with Company standards, processes/procedures and templates

-Is responsible for on-time delivery of identified test deliverables

Knowledge/Experience:

- Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or equivalent job experience

- 2-3 years experience in Quality Assurance

- 2-3 years testing experience

- Experience in project tracking tools for defects

- Experience in structured testing methodology

- Understands and experienced in structured software development

- 2-3 years experience in writing test strategies, test plans, coordination of testing efforts

- Experience in Estimating and Metrics

- Experience in mainframe, client/server, and internet/intranet

- In-depth knowledge of Focus on the Family mission, values, and objectives

Skills, Abilities, and Special Talents/Gifts:

- Proficient analytical Skills (ability to isolate the cause of program failure)

- Excellent verbal and written communications skills

- Knowledge of Project Management methodology and WBS
Microsoft Office

- Ability to set goals and work with little direction
