Project Manager

Basic Purpose: Provide project leadership to a team of software developers on small to medium-sized software development projects, ensuring projects are completed on time, according to corporate quality standards and satisfying the functional requirements.
Essential Duties:
•Function as the Delivery Team Leader.
•Develop and maintain written specifications and other effective means of communication for coordinating work of the team, platform specialists, GUI, QA, Customer Support, Documentation, Product Management, and Management.
•Ensure compliance with development methodology and recommend and champion process improvements.
•Responsible for the communication of project status, scheduling, design and implementation objectives.
•Manage the fulfillment of the analysis, design, programming and testing for the functional integrity and accuracy of assigned product releases.
•Manage (i.e. maintain appropriate tracking of tasks, schedules and pertinent status of project assignments) the implementation of customer requests, enhancements and bugs in a timely and efficient manner.
•Responsible for coordinating the completion of all pertinent documentation including User Guides, Installation Instructions, Upgrade Instructions, Product Turnover Documentation and is the primary source of information to customer communication via Tech Services.
Education: BS in Computer Science , Information Systems Management or equivalent.
Specialized Knowledge:
•Excellent communications, interpersonal and organizational skills required.
•5 or more years experience in software development process including Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Implementation.
•2-5 years experience as a technical project manager or project leader.
•Expert experience evaluating coding techniques and design walk-thrus.
•Expert experience with Software Development process including Analysis, Design, Development, Testing and Implementation.
•2 — 5 years experience on multiple platforms.
•Experience using Agile development methodologies (xtreme programming, SCRUM, etc.)
•Experience leading development projects for software product companies (as opposed to corporate IT).
•Awareness of business issues as they impact overall project plans.
•Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects. Ability to meet stated customer initiated deadlines.
