Programmer Analyst II, Production Technology SolutionsThis position resolves application problems in production systems through analysis, programming and project management. This involves code debugging; writing of SQL, FoxPro, AS400 and Access queries, tracing the root cause through multiple origination systems utilizing multiple technologies and reconstructing the problem in test environments. Managing the problem resolution process, you will retain ownership of the issue until resolution is achieved, while ensuring the correct resources are assigned to and working on the problem. Incumbent will evaluate and determine the recommended steps towards resolution and obtain/confirm necessary approvals for implementation. Applies data fixes to loans or tables after receiving requisite approvals (which may include writing update procedures) and provides detailed documentation/results of debugging process, and technical specifications for code fixes. Other duties will involve training users on system functions.Requires 2-4 years relevant experience (analysis, development, support, etc.), including direct experience with relational databases (preferably MS SQL Server) and 1+ years experience in troubleshooting procedures in a desktop (LAN/AS400 combination) environment. The team player we seek should have proven analytical, interpersonal and communication skills, along with the ability to work well with people of diverse cultural backgrounds, from many disciplines and with varying degrees of technical experience. Strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask are essential, as is the capacity to deal well with escalated issues. Experience in Visual FoxPro programming, Lotus Notes scripting and EDI is a must, as is familiarity with ADVANTedge programming in a Windows 95, 97 and NT environment, using Visual Basic and/or Visual C++ (or equivalent). Must have a firm understanding of DLLs and OCX environment, coupled with intermediate skills in writing T-SQL queries. A strong working knowledge of current programming tools in the AS/400 environment is required, as is expertise in programming debugging, data analysis and system analysis. Experience in programming using RPG and CL programming languages for the AS/400 is preferred. Project Management experience and knowledge of the Mortgage/banking industry is a must. Basic knowledge of supporting Web-based applications preferred.
