Programmer/Analyst (ASP/SQL Server/Visual Basic)

APS Healthcare has an immediate opening for a Programmer/Analyst in our Silver Spring, Maryland or Brookfield, WI offices. Looking for team player that defines, develops, implements, and supports healthcare related Web and VB applications integrated with SQL Server and FTP/SFTP.Must have demonstrated experience with developing and supporting Internet/Intranet Web sites across heterogeneous network environments with a focus on exceptional customer service. Participates in implementations and phased rollouts of software. Interacts with appropriate business units and customers to troubleshoot day-to-day production problems, set guidelines, tests new application releases and supports functionality. Provide accurate and creative solutions for a moderate to complex scope of customer and/or Support Engineer systems software issues and problems to ensure customer satisfaction with product and support delivery. Daily monitoring of jobs and batch processes. Activities include researching, resolving, and responding to customer telephone calls, service requests, call backs and/or escalations, in accordance with current standards. May involve writing code and the utilization of debugging tools to develop customer resolution or workaround. Accurately record customer incidents and report software bugs and customer suggestions. REQUIREMENTS
Requirements:
Requires 4+ years progressive programming experience that includes requirements gathering and analysis; client-server application development; database design and optimization; as well as sound test plan methodologies. Must have at least 2-4 years experience developing n-tiered web applications on a Microsoft platform.Preference will be given to candidates with a skill set in SQL Server that includes proficiency in stored procedures, triggers, Transact-SQL, index definition, clustering, and other database administration skills in engineering and test lab environments. Looking for a combined skill set that includes the following: ASP, ASP.Net, XML, HTML, VB Script, Javascript, Visual Interdev IIS 5.0/6.0 Visual Basic, VB.Net, MTS, COM SQL Server 2000 (including DBA experience, DTS, Transact-SQL, and triggers) Visual SourceSafe Windows 2000/2003 Server Experience with relational databases and normalization ERwin
