Programmer Analyst

Purpose: TEKsystems and their partner located in Scottsdale are seeking a Programmer Analyst.

The Programmer Analyst function is responsible for analyzing and evaluating existing or proposed systems, and revises or develops computer programs, systems and related procedures to process data. Prepares charts and diagrams to assist in problem analysis, and submits recommendations for solution. Prepares program specifications and diagrams and develops coding logic flowcharts.



DUTIES: Formulates/defines system scope and objectives for assigned projects. Devises or modifies procedures to solve complex problems considering computer equipment capacity and limitations, operating time and form of desired results. Prepares detailed specifications from which programs will be written. Responsible for program design, coding, testing, debugging and documentation. Duties include instructing, directing and checking the work of other systems analysis and programming personnel. Responsible for quality assurance review. Responsible for directing and monitoring the work of team members. May be responsible for project completion and user satisfaction.



Qualifications

EXPERIENCE:

8+ years of increasingly responsible professional experience.

Knowledgeable in all duties of Sr. Programmer Analyst.

Knowledge in DOS/VisualFoxPro.

Possesses and applies comprehensive knowledge of particular field of specialization to the completion of the most difficult assignments.

Has well developed leadership qualities.

Has a Bachelors degree in MIS or CS.

May be working on advanced degree.



SUPERVISION:

Works under limited supervision.

High level of interaction with IT management and staff.



SKILLS:

Excellent working knowledge of concepts, practices and procedures of particular field of specialization.

Excellent Organizational skills

Detail Oriented

Demonstrates high level of initiative.
