Programmer/Analyst – 4 Positions Available

POSITION DESCRIPTION SUMMARY:

This position will perform analysis, design, programming and other system development tasks to support CHRW architecture initiatives. The position requires a team player that can communicate well, work in an entrepreneurial environment, and deliver professional level technical solutions.

Responsibilities will include:
•Designing and developing solutions required for complex application features
•Providing high-level technical options that may span multiple systems
•Identifying high-level system impacts
•Translating high-level requirements into detailed designs
•Providing technical estimates
•Leading and facilitating design sessions and code walk-throughs
•Maintaining integrity of application architecture
•Aiding developers in translation of system impacts into system changes
•Being the developers go-to for guidance as development work is done (maintain integrity of design)
•Performing unit testing and some functional testing

QUALIFICATIONS:

Knowledge, Skills, Experience Required:
The ideal candidate must:
•Have at least 5 - 7 years of development experience in Information Technology with in-depth experience in Object-Oriented Analysis, Object-Oriented Design and Object-Oriented Programming
•Have proven experience in delivering enterprise level solutions in a timely manner with high quality
•Have proven experience with UML
•Have a proven ability and willingness to quickly learn new enterprise custom applications
•Be self-starter with excellent communication and problem solving skills
•Have experience with Microsoft Development platform and the following technologies is required – VB.Net, ASP.Net, ASP, Visual Basic 6, VBScript, COM+, MS SQL Server and XML
•Experience with web services, contract-first schema design, XML, XSLT, and SOA experience desired
•Knowledge of supply chain management would be beneficial
•Experience with a Use Case development process would be beneficial
Education Required:
Undergraduate degree in computer science or related field, or related work experience.
