Program Manager - Web Technologies

They work on creating new features for the Company's homepage that has 4 billion page views a day. They have smaller ship cycles as compared to other product teams in the organization.


The Software Giant needs a Program Manager who would be working on the incubation project on their team and help in prototyping. The ideal candidate would be someone who has built websites in the past and who is very proficient with web technologies. They are looking for someone who has some experience in shipping a product and who has driven a feature for a product.

Job Duties also include:
Apart from prototyping, this person will be involved in driving the program from project initiation through delivery and interfacing with customers on technical matters.
Develops relationships with multiple Product Managers and provides them with technical and analytical information.
Organizes cross functional activities ensuring completion of the program on schedule and within budget constraints.
May manage multiple projects and may oversee others.

Requirements:



Required Skills for this Program Manager position will include:
2-4 years work related PM and software experience is required.
Management skills required, including ability to work within a budget and direct multiple programs.
Specialized knowledge and experience with Web Technologies, etc. as defined by the project are required.
Software programming experience in the languages or technology specific to the project are required including previous experience with building websites.
Must have the ability to think strategically.
Must be able to work independently and as part of a team.
Excellent communication skills required.
Experience with software cycles and proven accomplishment as a driver in this arena are required - experience with shipping a product and driving a feature for a product are required.
Bachelors/Masters in Computer Science would be a bonus skill.

Experience working with AJAX is very desirable
Previous experience at the Software Giant as a Web Developer would be a bonus skill
