Production Control Analyst II

Primary Purpose: Review new and changed computer applications for adherence to standards. Maintain operational software products.

Essential Functions:
•Production Turnover of application code. Review JCL / Scripts, source code for shop standards and syntax for all computing platforms. (Mainframe, AIX, Windows) Using Merant’s PVCS for Open Systems code and CA’s Librarian CCF for Mainframe code.
•Verify Change Control / Turnover policies and procedures have been followed
•Work with IT Associates on making changes required to adhere to production standards and policies
•Review schedule changes to verify dependencies requested are accurate
•Administer and support various 3rd Party Operational Products such as, balancing (APCDDS), report distribution (ControlD), tape management (ControlT), version control (PVCS, Librarian), scheduling (ControlM).
•Off hours on call support of 3rd Party Operational Products
•Research and resolve JCL / Script related batch abends.
•Perform Scheduler tasks in their absenceJob Requirements
Job Requirements:
•3 – 7 years Computer Operations experience
•College degree required or equivalent related work exp
•Knowledge of and experience with Open Systems turnover / implementation process required
•Knowledge of and experience with Mainframe turnover / implementation process helpful.
•Strong MVS Job Control Language knowledge
•Communications skills required to work with IT and non IT associates
•On call 24 x 7 for turnover or JCL issues. Dial in or come in as required. Rarely required
