Product Manager

Applied Data Systems (‘ADS’) is one of the top 50 fastest growing high tech companies in Maryland. We are a leading designer and manufacturer of intelligent embedded mobile devices. ADS products are characterized by their low power consumption, powerful graphics, small form factor, and robust functionality. ADS specializes in quick time-to-market customized designs. We are seeking an experienced Product Manager to make a highly marketable, highly technical product line into an industry leader.

· Responsible for establishing the roadmap for our Windows CE and embedded computer products; close work with engineering on design details a key aspect of the position. Work with engineering to transform market requirements and business goals into new features, products, and revenue.

· Responsible for managing the existing products, defining strategic product direction, creating and maintaining the product roadmap, pricing, competitive analysis, product positioning and promotion activities.

· Support the field with on-site and corporate visits and sales tools.
· Collaborate with Marketing Communications and Public Relations to deliver the product message to the press, through industry analysts and at trade shows. REQUIREMENTS
To qualify for this position, candidate must possess:
· 5+ years product management experience. Knowledge of the embedded networking market, technologies, suppliers and competitors is preferred.

· Strong planning and project management skills are also needed.
· Wireless, Factory Automation/Process Control and Multimedia expertise is highly desirable.

Technical Skills:
· In-depth knowledge on Microsoft CE operating system; Linux understanding a plus.

· Single board computer architecture familiarity a plus.
Education:
· A BSEE or BSCS required, with an MBA, a plus.
