Principal Technical Analyst
Purpose: Job Title: Principal Technical Analyst Job Description: TEKsystems has partnered with a government integrator to find a seasoned Information Technology (IT) professional with recent/current experience in support federal government Enterprise Architecture and technology initiatives. The candidate will be part of a team and will report to the Project Manager/Chief Architect.
Further, the successful candidate, as a member of the Project Team, will help to proven solutions for the evaluation of tools and technology, such as application development platforms, as well as establishing development standards, and a common technology along with accompanying documentation for the target environment. In conjunction with the Lifecycle Methodology Team, the Project Team will analyze both Microsoft's (MS) .Net environment and the Java-based integrated development environment (IDE), including Java2 Platform, Enterprise Edition (J2EE) for platform support as well as emerging technologies (e.g. Asynchronous JavaScript (AJAX) and Extensible Markup Language (XML)) as a part of a holistic application development solution. Consideration will be given as to how any solution integrates and supports the EA and RMs, in particular the SRM and the TRM.
Lastly, the successful candidate will have a full understanding of the methods and evaluation criteria involved in the selection of a platform. Therefore, the he will be able to assist the Project Team as it conducts an assessment guided by higher level design requirements, operating and sustaining costs, and future support, functionality, and scalability considerations.

-Effective management of multiple tasks and priorities
-Experience in network architecture design
-Experience in security architecture design
-Experience with development life cycles
-Experience with modeling
-Expertise in multiple architecture platforms and their related constraints and how these issues affect the development of an enterprise architecture
-Experience with strategic planning, change management, risk management, line of business modernization, governance, CPIC, portfolio management, and knowledge management
-Experience with CMMI and/or ISO certification
-Varied technology expertise
-Expertise in server-side technologies, database integration issues, and content management including requirements
-Excellent verbal and written communications skills
-Knowledge regarding vendor products and their suitability for a particular architecture (trade study analyses)
-Well honed problem solving skills
-Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel
