Pre-Sales Storage Networks

Perm or contract to hire. 50% travel.

The incumbent of this position will:
• Provide pre-sales and post-sales support of storage related opportunities across all Company’s geographies.
• Understand client’s storage infrastructures; compare and contrast this infrastructure to the IBM storage solution.
• Provide internal assistance on the IBM storage product plans; communicate these plans to other Company staff.
• Make telephone and in-person calls and presentations to clients and potential clients.
• Create and deliver polished proposals and client deliverables.
• Coordinate hardware and software quotations with IBM Sales Teams.
• Provide timely and accurate work estimates for clients.
• Provide management oral and written reports on the client needs, problems, interests, market situations, competitive activities, and potential for new products/services.
• Be knowledgeable about products, applications, technical service, market conditions, competitive activities, advertising, and promotional trends through the reading of pertinent literature and consulting with marketing and technical services.Consulting or Pre-Sales experience.
• Four to five years of Storage solution experience.
• Thorough knowledge of at least one of the Storage product lines from IBM, Hitachi, EMC, McDATA, Cisco, CNT, etc; Solid understanding of server/storage infrastructure.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Management Information Systems, or the equivalent in experience.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills including consulting skills
• Ability to travel up to 50% as needed.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
