Paper Mill Technical Superintendent

Requirement: Must have 3 + years fine paper experience1.Supervise the department functions to ensure that product is accurately tested on a timely basis and results are communicated to operating personnel. Provide proper staffing of the department and enforce the Labor Agreement, operating and safety procedures.2.Communicate previous day’s quality performance and other quality issues to production areas ensuring that customer requirements are met and a quality product is shipped.3.Investigation of complaints to determine proper credit authorization and necessary corrective action to be taken.4.Train departmental personnel and review testing procedures to ensure that product conforms to quality standards.5.Inspect questionable paper and defective returned products to ensure most economical disposition of paper.6.Maintain historical records, analyze test data and manage weigh sheet retains and color standards.7.Drive continuous improvement regarding Quality and Quality Systems.





Special assignments and/or unique characteristics of the position:Occasional contact with outside printers for print testing of paper and
resolution of quality issues.In a wonderful booming town approximately 2 hours north of twin cities.
EDUCATION and EXPERIENCE:Education and/or professional qualifications:Minimum of 2 years of college or equivalent experience and excellent PC
skills.Previous job experience:Must have knowledge of and experience with papermaking as well as an
understanding of fine paper end users and printing processes.
