Pharmaceutical Contracts Applications Administrator

This position will be responsible for the daily operation, maintenance, and upgrades of all contract management systems which include problem resolution, development/configuration and implementing new business requirements. Additionally, this position will be accountable for assessing system capabilities, identifying limitations, and providing recommendations on system migrations requirements.
Responsibilities: In this position, you will configure and maintain the Contract Administration’s management systems, providing day to day support to the business. You will serve as the primary interface to the department for requirements gathering, troubleshooting or problem reporting. You will also serve as the point person for external vendors and consultants. Based on user requests and/or changes to business requirements, you will implement and configure new projects and/or revise existing configuration while maintaining the accuracy of the system by analyzing requirements, creating change controls, executing changes, and providing functional requirements, flowcharts, protocols, reports, etc. In this position, you will identify system and/or user errors and problems as well as review all product upgrades. You will also evaluate vendor documentation, which includes monthly problem and patch reports. Working with the vendor, you will resolve all issues. You will also coordinate the implementation of all upgrades, patches and fixes with Contract Administration and the appropriate Information Systems areas. Working with management staff in Contract Administration, you will assist in determining and developing Information Systems solutions for business needs. You will also create and maintain system and process documentation which includes configuration documentation, technical documents, user guide, administrative limitations, work instructions and documents outlining procedures. Additionally, you will work with the department to ensure that all documentation is complete and accurate. You will assist users in developing training documents as well as assist in training staff as needed. You will ensure that all projects are completed in a timely manner and within budget, performing additional duties as required. 5% domestic travel is required.

REQUIREMENTS
Education/Experience Requirements: Qualified candidates will have a Bachelor's Degree, preferably in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science; commensurate experience is also acceptable. Candidates will have at least 7 years of information systems experience, including 5 years of experience with contract management systems; specific knowledge of pharmaceutical industry pricing and contracting practices is required. It is essential that you have strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills. It is also required that you have experience in managed markets contracting, knowledge of key contract management processes, and are proficient utilizing database application development systems such as SQL Plus, SQL Loader, and Oracle. Report writing ability is preferred.
