Oracle Database Analyst

Responsibilities: Our client's Business Analysis, Reporting and Data Group is looking for a senior-level Applications Systems Engineer to join their data management team. This person will be responsible for systems analysis/design, writing functional specifications, computer programming, testing and production support. The objective is to create and/or modify an Oracle database repository of customer information used for risk and marketing data analysis and regular and ad-hoc financial reporting. This person will be using multiple related data sets having 1-4MM records per day. Professional responsibilities include: Consultation with marketing, risk and finance unit staff to identify and define strategic business needs for marketing, risk and finance. Translate these needs into business data requirements and data design. Research potential data sources and evaluate data. Design and implementation of shared Data Marts. Mentor the newer database developers. Communicate with internal team and external clients as to progress/methodology.
