Oracle Database Administrator (ITI)

By combining your talent and our strengths, we can acheive great results.Effective execution of the role includes the following requirements and associated skills: Service users of IB business streams to meet business objectives Develop procedures for database monitoring, maintenance, backup, recovery and automated alerts Experience in task automation Performance Diagnostics and Tuning using Oracle views and EM Scripting language (ksh, perl) Use Basic tools like PL/SQL, Export/Import, SQL Loader etc. Server, query, application performance tuning Logical & physical database designPreferred Qualifications: Four year degree or international equivalent In-depth knowledge in building/supporting infrastructure for very high transactional (1000+tps) and large databases (TB range) In-depth knowledge in different disaster-recovery and backup procedures Strong experience in supporting production and non production environments Indepth knowledge of Oracle on Unix platform, Networking Be able to work with Unix/storage administrators on optimal configuration for database servers Cross-train other DBAs in Oracle Potential to be cross-trained and provide support for Sybase and MS SQL Server On-call support and planned work support on weekendsWe can offer you an exciting, fast-paced working environment, a culture of mutual respect and teamwork and the opportunity to play a vital role in our growth.If you are attracted to joining an organization where every individual’s contribution counts and where your talent will impact on our future, please apply for this position. REQUIREMENTS
Basic Qualifications: Minimum 7 years experience in database administration
Minimum 2 years experience with managing DataGuard and Broker environments
Minimum 2 years experiece with Oracle 9i and 10g on Sun Solaris & Linux.
