Oracle Applications Developer - 0600554

Praxair Surface Technologies, Inc., is a Fortune 500 company and a world leader in surface enhancement and related technologies. We currently have an excellent opportunity available for an Oracle Applications Developer in our Indianapolis, Indiana facility.
In this position you will develop enhancements, provide technical support/troubleshooting for Oracle applications; and participate in the gathering of system requirements for application and documentation of system specifications for projects. Will also map the requirements into Oracle Applications features; identify gaps and design customizations and/or business processes to resolve the gaps; and communicate technical business requirements to internal and external customers in order to enhance current applications.Qualified candidate must have a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related discipline along with 2-3 years of related work experience; 2+ years application development experience (Oracle Forms and Reports) and familiarity with Oracle applications are strongly desired. Familiarity with bar coding, Java, HTML are also strongly desired. SQL skills and PL/SQL are required; along with familiarity with Unix work environment. Excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to work effectively in a team as well as in an independent environment; a technical aptitude and problem-solving skills are also required. Ability to innovate and prioritize; work under pressure, and deliver on-time will be a plus.
